How long have you worked at tomorrow and what’s your current role in a nutshell?
I’m approaching the seven-year mark! My role has changed along the years; I started as a search ads specialist and the team now manages google, social, SEO, content and programmatic campaigns. We help plan, set up and run digital marketing campaigns.
What’s your favourite thing about your role?
It’s fast paced, we get to see results immediately after publishing a new campaign, and we can influence the outcome of a campaign immediately with optimisations and updates.
Which client project or campaign are you most proud of and why?
Setting up lead generating digital marketing channels for Victoria & Albert in Broadbeach has been an exciting and successful project the team has recently taken on. Being able to make fast changes to creative and landing pages while working with the client and our studio team, means that we were able to improve the cost per enquiry of the campaign without having to negotiate changes with external web developers or creative agencies.
How do you stay up to date with the ever-evolving digital world?
Our team run a weekly session where we share the latest trick or tip we’ve come across. Much of the learning comes from chatting to our clients, media team and working through challenges as they arise, plus planning for incremental improvement during our reporting cycles.
What’s one easy-to-implement tip to help a media campaign perform?
You can’t improve what you can’t measure.
Name one program/work tool you couldn’t live without.
The new Google Analytics GA4 is amazing – it offers a new perspective at measuring online performance and focuses on what each user does and how they engage with your website, as opposed to simply reporting on how the website itself is performing. We are moving clients over so they can have improved reporting.
What’s a piece of advice you would give to an individual aspiring to take on a leadership role at their workplace?
Managers make sure things are done right; leaders do the right thing.
What’s your go-to song/podcast when you need to get in the zone at work?
I’m straight on to triple M, yes Triple M.
