“I want people to feel like they’re on holiday when they come home every day.”

This was the direction for a boutique collection of luxury townhouses in the premium bayside suburb of Brighton. The brief was received at the beginning of the pandemic, and we quickly identified a real resonance between the ‘escape ordinary’ concept that we were adopting and the feeling of being confined that was being experienced by the bulk of the population.

As restrictions prevented us from using talent, we hired a photographer to capture the details and nuances that encapsulated the essence of bayside living at different times of the day and night, letting light and shadow become the heroes. A pared-back, elegant design of textures and soft, earthy greens created a sophisticated yet relaxed aesthetic that allowed the emotive imagery to shine through.
